When was the last time you looked at something with wonder?

I just watched a boy about 5 years of age coming up the bus and going “Awesome!”. He was looking around at the interior of the bus. We were on one of the newer buses with two doors and steps at the back door. 

He was so amazed he wasn’t thinking about how the bus was moving off and he needed to be seated. His father and I were busy making sure he does not fall. 

After I left the bus two stops down, I looked at my surrounding with fresh new eyes. On the path home, I wondered at the flowers and greenery. I looked at a bird walking about. 

What a time to be alive.

Was feeling a little poor after paying off two big ticket items. Went grocery shopping with my boyfriend and this is what we saw. Ahead of us in the queue was an old man. He held a white plastic bag with 2 packets of biscuits inside. He flicked the receipt as he waited in line. He was going to exchange the items. In the basket that he's now placed at the conveyor belt at the cashier was 3 loaves of bread. The cashier scanned the 3 loaves of bread. Isn't it 3 for $3.30? I saw the sign there 3 for $3.30. Cashier lady: No, that's not the sign for that one, the 3 for $3.30 is the small ones. Is it? But the sign there put 3 for $3.30. Next time you need to place one staff there to tell people which one is 3 for $3.30. Cashier lady: So you still want the bread? gratitude for today

/personal Feeling like you made it but you didn't. Still got to give it to myself for making the move. Making the move to quit on a job I was no longer growing in. Making a move to bring my parents for a trip. I'm sitting here in the living room of the home for tonight, an Airbnb we booked.  Bro and parents asleep in the room. I'm filled with immense gratitude we made it. We did it fam. We did.  To the 10 year old Brienne,  look! Zhe Zhe brought us overseas!  And bonus, with parents and bro!
